1. What ConserNews processes

  • Reading requests: article, source, category, page, and search terms you ask the ConserNews API to load, together with normal HTTPS metadata such as IP address, user agent, and request time handled by our host.
  • Your account: name, email address, a one-way password hash, verification status, account role, reading preferences, muted keywords, disabled sources, viewed articles, and saved favorites. Passwords are not stored in readable form.
  • On this device: session credentials, temporary feed data, and cached images. Native session credentials use iOS Keychain or Android Keystore encryption. Browser session credentials are stored in browser storage. Preferences are synchronized to your account. Search terms are sent to the API to find matching stories.
  • Support: the email address and information you choose to send when you contact us.

2. Subscription data

On the website, ArlaPay handles hosted checkout and its supported payment processors handle the payment method. In the iOS and Android apps, Apple or Google handles payment and RevenueCat verifies the store entitlement. Those services may process an account-linked app-user identifier and email address, selected product, transaction or receipt status, offer eligibility, subscription status, and related store/device/app metadata. ConserNews never receives your full card number or store password.

The signed-in app sends its account-linked RevenueCat app-user identifier to the ConserNews server. The server rechecks RevenueCat before mirroring the subscription to that ConserNews account; the client cannot assert its own paid status.

3. How the data is used

We use this data to deliver and filter live news, secure accounts, sync favorites, enforce membership access, provide paid access, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and do not include third-party advertising or behavioral-analytics SDKs.

4. Sharing and retention

Data is shared only with infrastructure, database/cache, support, and billing providers needed for the functions above, or when law requires it. Account and favorites data is kept while the account is active and as needed for security, billing, legal, or dispute records. Device-local data remains until you clear it or uninstall; Android backup is disabled, and native session credentials are not included in device backups. Loading publisher-hosted images, media, or original pages shares normal connection information with that publisher.

5. Your choices

You can preview the latest six headline cards without an account. Reading articles requires a ConserNews account and an active membership. You can change your sources and appearance, mute keywords, reset your password, and delete your account from account settings. You can manage a store subscription with the Apple Account or Google account that bought it, and contact support for access or correction requests. Deleting a ConserNews account does not cancel a subscription held by Apple, Google, or ArlaPay.

6. Children and security

ConserNews is a general-audience news service and is not directed to children under 13. We use HTTPS, password hashing, access controls, and provider-side receipt verification, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
