Refund Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
1. Where you subscribed decides who to ask
ConserNews is sold in two places, and they are not the same arrangement:
- On this website, ConserNews takes the payment through ArlaPay, our payment provider. The policy below is ours and we apply it.
- In the iOS or Android app, Apple or Google is the seller. They take the payment, they hold the subscription, and only they can refund it. We cannot issue a refund on their behalf, and any policy of ours that says otherwise would be a promise we are not able to keep.
Section 2 is the website policy. Section 4 is the store route. Everything else applies to both.
2. The website policy
Billing starts when you confirm a ConserNews subscription on this website. All website payments are final. We do not refund a month or a year already paid for, time you did not get around to reading, a renewal you meant to cancel and did not, or a change of mind after purchase. This is the same on the monthly plan and the yearly one.
3. Prices and offers
The website does not promise or start a free trial; the hosted checkout shows the immediate charge before you confirm.
The app displays the price supplied by your store. The store purchase sheet shows the exact price and automatic-renewal terms before you confirm. ConserNews does not promise a free trial.
4. If you subscribed in the app
iOS. Apple issues the refund, not us. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you bought it on. Apple's current policy and decision apply.
Android. Google issues the refund. Follow Google Play's refund instructions with the Google account that bought it; Google's current policy and decision apply.
If the reason you want a refund is something we got wrong — the app would not unlock, a subscription you paid for never arrived — write to us anyway at [email protected]. We cannot move store funds, but we can help document what happened.
5. Cancelling
Cancel in the same place you subscribed. Cancelling anywhere else does nothing, because the subscription is not held there.
- Bought on this website: the ArlaPay billing portal, linked from the receipt you were emailed and from your account settings.
- Bought on iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Bought on Android: Play Store → Subscriptions, or play.google.com.
Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not refund the period you are already in, and your subscription keeps working until that period runs out, so there is nothing to gain by leaving it to the last day. Cancel before the renewal date rather than after it: once a renewal has been taken it falls under the policy above.
6. What we do put right
These are billing mistakes rather than refunds, and we fix them without argument:
- You were charged twice for the same period.
- You were charged after cancelling.
- A renewal was taken from a subscription you had already cancelled in the portal.
Write to [email protected] with the receipt and we will investigate. If Apple or Google took the charge, any money must still be returned through that store.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing here removes a right you hold under the consumer law where you live. Where that law gives you a refund we do not otherwise offer, the law wins — tell us and we will honour it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the current version always lives at this address, with the revision date above.
